BE 5.0 - SALON INDUSTRIES DU FUTUR MULHOUSE 2025

EnergiesDev The trusted third party for companies in their energy transition

All energy, but only energy. For the past fifteen years, EnergiesDev Consulting of Strasbourg (Bas-Rhin), which will be exhibiting at the forthcoming Be 5.0 - Industrie du futur trade show in Mulhouse, has based its growth on supporting companies in this targeted yet broad and essential dimension of their environmental transition. In fact, its team of 10 people, most of whom are engineers, is not short of activity, given the considerable stakes involved.

Over the past three years, these issues have been better taken into account, thanks to the main drivers of regulations... and the rising cost of the bill, observe the company's directors. “The Covid post-confinement and the war in Ukraine acted as a trigger for all companies. From then on, they accelerated and extended the range of our interventions”, notes Pierre Coppin, in charge of energy efficiency and renewable energies. Local authorities and health establishments have become increasingly important clients over the past three years, in addition to industry, which remains EnergiesDev Consulting's main market, from medium-sized companies to very small businesses, located in Alsace (80%) and the rest of the Grand Est region.

The company, headed and founded by Alexandre Moumni, has structured its offering around three divisions: energy purchasing, energy efficiency and carbon sobriety. “Within the workforce, each of us has developed a specialty in one of the three areas. This enables us to combine a global approach, one of the most comprehensive in Alsace, with cutting-edge expertise,” explains Pierre Coppin.

The first division, also known as financial performance - optimization with CEE (energy saving certificates, for example) - is both the original activity and, even today, the first “gateway” to customers, particularly when it comes to renegotiating their gas and electricity supply contracts. EnergiesDev approaches this key stage without dogma, which it sees as a major advantage of its offer.

Independence from energy providers
“We advise our customers in total independence from the operators, and our remuneration system means that we have no interest in more or less subtly 'pushing' one offer over another. All have a chance, and the customer alone decides in the end,” adds Pierre Coppin.

Energy efficiency aims to build an energy performance management strategy, which can include support for ISO 50001 certification and anticipation of the ever-increasing number of regulations: the tertiary sector decree to reduce consumption in this type of building in stages up to 2050, the progressive obligation to install photovoltaic surfaces on parking lots and industrial roofs, etc.

Decarbonization is EnergiesDev's third area of expertise. More and more companies are being encouraged to draw up their carbon footprint and define a decarbonization strategy. EnergiesDev was one of the first service providers in Alsace to help companies reduce their greenhouse gas emissions.

In total, the company supports more than 500 companies, including some 50 with ISO 50001 certification, advises on the annual purchase of 7,000 GWh of energy, and has measured its contribution to energy savings at nearly 2,000 GWh.

EnergiesDev will be exhibiting again this year at the end-of-year Industry of the Future event in Mulhouse, and will be offering a conference on a theme yet to be defined. The 2023 conference was devoted to the subject of “photovoltaics and energy purchasing”.
